At Retail Sites, LLC, community involvement is part of our DNA, not just a seasonal activity or marketing strategy. We’ve long supported UrbanPromise, a Camden nonprofit focused on education, mentorship, and youth empowerment. And this year we celebrated the season with joy, kindness and community.
Every year before Christmas, we participate in UrbanPromise’s Promise Store Christmas Gift Drive to bring dignity and choice to family celebrations.
Supporting the Promise Store
Our team eagerly visits Happy Hippo Toys in Moorestown, NJ, to select toys, books, games, and educational items for UrbanPromise kids. We aim to find something perfect for every age group. Once chosen, these gifts go straight to UrbanPromise, ready for the Promise Store.
A Model built on Dignity
The Promise Toy Store model, as described on their facebook UrbanPromise USA’ is a magical Christmas shop where parents and caregivers can choose gifts for their children at no cost. It emphasizes dignity and the joy of giving, aligning with UrbanPromise’s mission to address real needs respectfully and practically.
A History of Engagement
Since its launch in Camden in 1988, UrbanPromise has been a beacon for children and families, offering after-school programs, summer activities, youth jobs, and leadership skills. Their mission resonates with us, including our President, Robert Hill, who believes strong communities are built by investing in people.
